Montreal’s New Home Ownership Program
Are you planning on buying a property for the first time in 2018? If so, you could be eligible for financial assistance up to $15,000!
And if you already own property you could still qualify!
The program will kick off June 1st.
Take a look at the different options:
New Construction Rebates
First-time buyers purchasing a new construction can enjoy a rebate of $5000 for households without children. Single buyers in this profile have a maximum purchase price of $225,000 and multiple buyers a total purchase price of $280,000. Households with at least one child under 18 years old can receive a rebate of $10,000 or $15,000 for a maximum purchase of $400,000 or $450,000, respectively.
Purchasing a new construction when you already own property is possible for households who have one child under 13 years old. They can receive $10,000 for maximum purchase price of $400,000 and $15,000 for purchase price up to $450,000.
Previously Owned Property Rebates
First-time buyers purchasing previously owned property can receive between $5,000 and $7,000 rebates. They must be a household with at least one child under 18 years old. The maximum purchase prices is $630,000 for the following structure type:
Building with one above-ground dwelling unit (single family home)
Building with 2, 3, 4 and 5 above-ground dwelling units
Experienced buyers have the same rebates but households must have at least one child 13 years old or younger to qualify.
